Pre-Care Instructions:
Refrain from direct sun exposure for at least 2 weeks before treatment by using a broad-spectrum sunscreen and wearing hats.
Discontinue the use of retinoids or products containing high concentrations of vitamin A for 7 days prior to treatment.
It is your responsibility to disclose any medications, allergies, or existing medical conditions to your provider to ensure that you are a candidate for treatment.
Refrain from taking blood thinning medications or supplements such as aspirin and ibuprofen for at least 7 days before treatment to minimize the risk of bruising.
Post-Care Instructions:
Protect your skin from direct sun exposure for at least 7 days after the treatment. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily and reapply as directed. Consider bringing a large, wide-brimmed hat to wear after treatment.
Cleanse your face with a mild, non-irritating cleanser for 7 days post-treatment.
Avoid applying makeup for at least 24 hours after the microneedling procedure to prevent contamination of the treated skin.
Keep your skin well hydrated by using a gentle, hydrating moisturizer. This helps the recovery process.
Avoid products containing retinoids, glycolic acid, or other active ingredients for one week post-treatment unless advised otherwise by your provider.
Avoid scrubbing or using abrasive/exfoliating products on the treated area for the first week. Let the skin heal and slough naturally.
Refrain from swimming in chlorinated pools or hot tubs and avoid saunas and steam rooms for a few days after the treatment.
Avoid heavy exercise for at least 24 hours post-treatment to prevent excess sweating and irritation.
Remember: your results are only as good as your body's ability to HEAL. It is important to use proper aftercare (topicals) eat healthy, and stay hydrated.
Be Patient: Results may take time to become noticeable. Allow your skin to heal and follow aftercare instructions diligently for optimal outcomes.

Consider bringing headphones or a book to read during your numbing time.

Pre-Care Instructions
Discontinue the use of anti-inflammatory drugs steroidal and non-steroidal (i.e. aspirin, ibuprofen, Medrol, prednisone, advil) at least 3 days to 1 week before your treatment to minimize bruising. Remember: we WANT inflammation; this is one of the mechanisms of how PRF does its work!
It is recommended to discontinue the use of any other blood-thinning agents such as Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Essential Fatty Acids (EFA’s and DHA’s), etc. at least 3 days to 1 week before and after treatment to minimize bruising and bleeding.

If you experience any unusual or severe side effects, contact your provider immediately.
